NUO-STEMS Privacy Policy

This policy covers the NUO-STEMS 4 app ("the app") and the websites nuo-stems.com and docs.nuo-stems.com.

1. Who is responsible

Oleksii Nesterov ("we", "us"), the developer of NUO-STEMS. Contact: djnuo95@gmail.com or https://docs.nuo-stems.com/docs/contact-support.

2. Your music

The app processes your audio on your computer. Your audio files and DJ libraries are not uploaded.

3. What we collect and why

Licenses. To activate and check your license, we process an identifier of your computer, your license details and, from your purchase or Patreon membership, your name, email address and order details. This is necessary to provide the app under its license agreement.

Updates and news. The app connects to our servers to check for updates and show news. As with any connection, the server receives your IP address, which is used only to deliver the content.

Usage analytics and crash reports. Unless you switch them off in Settings, the app sends technical data: your computer's system and hardware, the app version and license type, which features and settings are used, processing times, performance (such as memory use and responsiveness), errors and crashes, and your approximate location (country and city) derived from your IP address. Error reports include an excerpt of the app's log, from which the names of your tracks, files and folders are removed. This data is linked to an identifier of your computer, not to your name or email address. We process it based on our legitimate interest in finding and fixing problems and improving the app. You can object at any time by switching analytics off.

Connecting the app and the website. When you first accept the license agreement, the app opens our website with your computer identifier. If you agree to analytics cookies on the website, we use it to connect your website visits and purchases to your copy of the app.

Websites. Our websites count visits without cookies, based on our legitimate interest in knowing how the sites are used. With your consent, they also use analytics and advertising tools that set cookies and record how visitors use the pages. Newsletter sign-ups are used to send you the newsletter, which you can unsubscribe from at any time. Purchases are processed by 2Checkout (Verifone) and Patreon memberships by Patreon, under their own privacy policies.

4. Who receives data

We use service providers for hosting, analytics, email and payments, who process data on our behalf. Some of them are based in the United States; such transfers are protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data.

5. How long we keep data

• License and purchase records: while your license exists, and afterwards as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Usage analytics and crash reports: up to 5 years.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy of it. To find your analytics data, include the computer identifier shown in Settings > Activation & License. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version.
